The current OWGRA Committee was elected in May 2023 and has been very effective, working on behalf of local residents. Our membership has continued to grow steadily, and we now have one of the highest membership levels of Residents Associations in the Hounslow borough.

But we still only have a minority of the residents in our area as members. It is important that the largest number of residents possible join OWGRA as only then are we able to exercise due influence on property developers and the Council from a position of strength – as well as providing an appropriate channel for residents to discuss and act on all issues of common concern and interest. As you can see from our activities you get a number of benefits from being a member of OWGRA.

We work closely with our ward councillors and liaise with all relevant organizations on a regular basis to ensure your views are heard. We organise public meetings whenever there is a major issue to discuss with residents, we write and deliver periodic newsletters, and we send more frequent e-newsletters. We also maintain this informative website to keep our residents informed as up-to-date as we can.

However, even more importantly, the more members we have in the area, the stronger is our voice when representing you in meetings with the Council, in responding to proposed developments, etc.

​

All these activities require time and effort on our part, which we provide for free. However they do incur some expenses, which we fund from our membership fees. Many residents have signed up but we would like to welcome many more! The annual membership fee is a modest £10 per person so please do consider joining OWGRA for the overall benefit of the Osterley community.
