OWGRA Committee Members 2024/25
OWGRA is run on behalf of local residents by a Committee of volunteers. This Committee is elected at each Annual General Meeting, which is a public meeting open to the residents of the area.

Ian Speed (until end of 2024)
Ian has lived in the Osterley and Spring Grove ward area for virtually his entire life since the 1960s. Ian became involved in local campaigning and community politics in the 2000s, first as a member of the Campion Concerns group who successfully campaigned against the overdevelopment of the Campion House site in Thornbury Road, very close to where he now lives. He then joined the local Independent political group the ICG to campaign for the continued existence of various community facilities and green spaces in the wider Isleworth area. Ian is a qualified accountant and has been the OWGRA Treasurer on and off since 2016.

Pankaj Malhi (from 2025)
Pankaj has been in Osterley most of his life, and wants to give back, protecting the area from crime, outrageous planning and architecture applications - so we can all live in an enhanced but yet peaceful Osterley.
He has been practising accounting since 2008 and is a qualified accountant. His favourite part of Osterley is Osterley Park - loving the early morning walks

Ed lived in the area on-and-off since the 1950s. Retired Landscape Gardener; previously Assistant Director of Leisure Services, London Borough of Richmond-upon-Thames. Trustee of Lampton School; co-chair of the local charity Inspire Hounslow; Secretary of the Temple Trust
Street Rep Coordinator
Kirsty Sewell
Kirsty grew up in Ealing and moved to Osterley in 2015.
She has a keen interest in Architecture and the built environment and keeps a close eye on planning and development.
Kirsty studied Fine Art at Winchester School of Art and is a teacher.

Leo Vermeulen
Originally from the Netherlands, Leo has lived in the Osterley / Brentford area since 2005. An IT professional by trade, he enjoys walking, travelling and reading. He joined OWGRA as a Committee member in mid 2020 after a growing concern about the Tesco/Homebase disproportional development

Colin Hume MCILT
Osterley resident for over 50 years, married with grandchildren. Retired BA Flight Operations manager and previously UK Met Office.
Chair of the Osterley & Spring Grove Ward Panel, Patient Participation Group for Thornbury Road Centre for Health and the Friends of Jersey Gardens.
Campaign Coordinator
Barbara Stryjak
Barbara has Polish origins and was born and went to school in Manchester. She has a background in science and worked on the commercial side in the pharmaceutical sector in the UK and Eastern Europe. She has lived in the area since 1981. She became involved with local issues in 2015 as a Lay Assessor for our ward for Hounslow Highways, because she hates litter and littering. She was instrumental in the rejuvenation of OWGRA from 2016 and led the campaign opposing the Tesco/Homebase development from 2019 to 2023.
